To view your portfolio you should be able to click on a name from the A-Z listings. This link opens a new window with the member's details/imagery. If the new window does not open when you select a name it could be for a number of reasons:
Norton Antivirus - if you are running this Norton it's worth checking the programme's preferences to see if it's set to block pop-up windows (which may block even those links clicked on by you if it's set to a strict level).
Active scripting - this must be enabled in your browser for the site to function correctly. If security settings are set to a high level this can be disabled by default, make sure both active scripting and Java are enabled.
Toolbars - some browser toolbars (such as those provided by Google or Yahoo) may stop pop-up windows from opening, without giving a warning that this has taken place.
Other pop-up blocking software can also stop the new windows from opening (including the XP one provided by Windows) and not provide you with a message that a window has been blocked.

How can I increase the hits on my portfolio?
The best thing you can do is use the website's search facility to it's full extent. The search functions on the site will use the image title, description, set tags and user tags (which you input yourself. Inputting a good variety of relevant words across all your images should increase your chances of being picked up in a search and is well worth spending the time on.
You can have as many 15 words that you feel are relevant to each image. These could be the style, subject medium, country etc. For example the image might be a photograph of a houses by a river. Suggested keywords might be: house, river, photograph, Spain etc. Use as many different allowed words as you can with all of your images. The more options you use the greater chance you have of your image being seen.
The front page is constantly revolving. So it worth uploading your images on a regular basis as it displays the latest images. It is a good way of getting that extra bit of exposure.
How can I stop people downloading and printing my work?
Your images should be saved at 72dpi. This is the resolution of a computer screen, but the minimum resolution for print is usually 300dpi; this means that images on the screen will only print properly at a size less than a quarter of the size on the screen. How do people find my work online?

You can also find your portfolio via the A-Z listing (A-Z listing is within each listed section, choose the correct section you are a part of e.g. Illustrator click on Illustrators). You can also be found by your specific speciality.
How do I change the size of my image?
The best way of resizing an image is in Photoshop or illustrator using the save for web function. This will ensure the image retains a good viewing quality.
Make sure the images are the correct dimensions first; under the Image menu go to "Image Size" and reduce to 72pixels/inch with the "Re-sample Image" option unselected hit ok and the window will close. Go back in to re-size the pixel dimensions to 432 (this time with "Re-sample Image" option selected).
Under the File menu go to "Save For Web". To the right of the new window that opens choose "JPEG High" from the list of presets. You should see how this affects the actual image in the preview and also the file size below. In this instance it still keeps the image quality quite high at around 60 - although the file size should now be reduced significantly. You can always try reducing this slightly for a smaller file size, as well as some of the other options, such as Progressive jpeg, etc. It's worth looking at the various presets here - and also opting to view 4 previews of your image so you can compare how each affects your image.
How do I prepare my images for viewing?
Images that are undersized will not be altered in any way. For images that are oversized, colour profiles will be maintained but file type will not. All files will be converted to jpg in order to display them to our specification. We cannot guarantee quality.
All files, including grayscale images, must be saved with the following specifications: RGB mode, 8 bits/channel, and no extra channels or layers. Generic RGB is the recommended embedded colour profile.
A word about colour
There are many variables that affect how your files will be viewed online; whether or not a monitor is calibrated, colour space of monitors and applications, ambient lighting conditions, whether or not an image is displayed on a PC or a Mac, how end users have their viewing environments set up, etc.
To try to minimize this inconsistency in colour management, we recommend converting your files to Generic RGB once colour correction and image adjustment has been finalized. Once converted to Generic RGB, embed the colour profile when saving your file in order to preserve the original colour appearance when viewed on the web. Images created in another colour space should be converted to Generic RGB using a suitable editing program.
A reliable test for proofing your files is to drag and drop the jpeg of your image on to an open browser window. This is how the file will display online. If it doesn’t match your file in Photoshop it is recommended you review your colour management system and colour spaces associated with your files and applications. There is an excellent resource in Adobe Photoshop’s Help Section that explains colour management. You can access this from the Photoshop Help Menu. Type “colour management” in the search tool. Then choose the topic that relates to you.
